ABOUT ME

Temu graduated in 1984 with a degree in BSc Forestry of the Sokoine University of Agriculture.

In 1990 he was awarded a PhD in Systematic Botany at the Department of Systematic Botany, Uppsala University, Sweden.

He was promoted to a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and Professor in 1990, 1993, 2001 and 2009, respectively.

He has served different administrative positions in the University, including: Associate Dean, Faculty of Forestry (1996 – 1999); Head, Environmental Conservation Section, SUA Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SCSRD) (1999 – 2002) and Head, Department of Forest Biology (2011 – 2015).
