Capacity Building Workshop for Academic Staff and Researchers

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance higher education and research, Prof. Robinson Mdegela and Prof. Gration Rwegasira have conducted a special capacity building workshop for academic staff and researchers at the Mizengo Pinda Campus. The workshop officially commenced today, April 7, 2025, at the Campus Conference Hall.

The main objective of this workshop is to empower early career lecturers and researchers with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in key areas such as developing impactful research projects, designing community development initiatives, and delivering high-quality teaching aligned with SUA’s academic standards.

Through this training, participants are expected to acquire practical tools that will enable them to initiate and manage projects that benefit both the community and the university. Also, the workshop aims to promote best teaching practices that will enhance the overall quality of education offered at the institution.

This initiative is part of SUA’s long-term strategy to strengthen academic excellence and research quality, with the Mizengo Pinda Campus positioning itself as a center of academic and research excellence in the western zone and across the nation.
